Blue Mountains based audio engineer, event organiser, drone pilot and musician. I got started in the creative industries while I was in high school volunteering at festivals, helping out at punk rock shows & producing the radio show Retro Rehash on RBM from 2017-2019. I started my professional career with KFM Media/Shelter Studio in 2019 where I still work today as a tech & in-house engineer at the Shelter Studio. To compliment my work there I also operate as a freelance audio/lighting engineer under the name 'Revy AV' working at several venues like Baroque Room & Station Bar in Katoomba, Fairmont Resort in Leura & the Ori in Springwood. While working in the industry I also studied and in 2023 I completed a Bachelor of Creative Industries at UWS with minors in audio production and public relations which gave me a much broader set of skills for my approach to my work. Throughout my career I have had a commitment to helping young artists. As a young musician, to have mentors & role models within the community to help realise my potential and forge my way in this industry was invaluable to me. So I see it as part of my role in this community to continue helping upcoming young artists. I have collaborated with Mountains Youth Services Team (MYST) on numerous projects, events and mentorship programs teaching young people how to record songs and set up live shows. In 2023 I ran a mentorship program that led into that years Winter Magic Festival where young people curated acts, set up and operated the audio and lighting for that year's youth stage. In 2024 I organised, curated and operated the Soul'd Out Youth Stage for the Winter Magic Indoors Festival collaborating with Dave from the Soul Side Cafe as well as MYST, RRT, Headspace and the ACRC. It was a massive weekend and one of my greatest achievements showcasing a whole day of young artists and a following day of local artists and regular performers at the Soul Side. In my spare time I am fascinated by aviation. I love learning about all things that go zoom and building model aircraft. So why not combine my love for flight and the creative industries? In 2022 I took the first step to do just that and got my RePL & AROC qualifications with a 25kg weight rating. So far I have only worked on one project as a drone pilot but it is of great interest to me and I see drones as being a large part of the future of the creative industries.

SIRC_UIT is the joint practice of Katrina Noorbergen and Jan M. Walter. Operating as a Creative Studio working at the intersections of art, technology, performance and architecture, SIRC_UIT collaborates with artists, musicians, curators and technologists across digital, analog and experimental art forms to explore and redefine our interactions with technology, bridging the gap between traditional art forms and the digital world. Katrina Noorbergen is a cultural producer, performance curator, and leading arts worker based in Western Sydney, on Dharug and Gundungurra Land. After a decade-long international career as a touring musician and published songwriter, Katrina returned to Australia in 2015. She has since worked in pivotal roles at Carriageworks, the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre and Create NSW. Katrina Noorbergen is the Program Curator for SIRC_UIT, championing experimental performance practices in unconventional spaces, uplifting emerging artists and fostering creative collaboration on the fringes. Jan M. Walter is a French/German audio-visual and installation artist based in Western Sydney, on Dharug and Gundungurra Land, and the Founder of SIRC_UIT. In his practice, he designs and constructs temporary architecture using lighting elements built from the ground up. Mixed with layers of found and reject materials as well as decommissioned technological infrastructure he creates large-scale immersive installations that are driven by custom hardware and software. His work is influenced by humanity's descent into technological abundance, the obsolescence of its own productivity and the absurdity of Moore's Law and what it leaves behind.. SIRC_UIT has and continues to collaborate with a multitude of artists and organisations to deliver boundary-pushing independent programming across Australia and beyond.

Blue Mountains Musical Society was founded by music lovers Heather Gwilliam, Jenny Edwards, Barry McNicol, and pianist Phyllis Huthnance, who all agreed that a musical society would be just the place for stage folk and musos alike to get together and produce good music and lasting friendships. A public meeting was called and with an enthusiastic group of 45 people the very first BMMS production of Trial by Jury at Springwood Uniting Church was in full swing. For just $3 a ticket the audience packed into the church hall. So positive was the response that members decided to go full steam ahead and form a committee. This all happened in 1981! Not that long ago really, when one considers how far BMMS has come since those early days. Since 1981 BMMS has been rehearsing and proudly presenting operetta, musical comedy, concerts and youth programs at the Springwood Civic Centre. In 2012, BMMS performed their last musical in the centre before it closed for renovations, allowing BMMS the opportunity to travel to new audiences at new venues, performing Sweeney Todd in 2013 at the Q Theatre, Monty Python’s Spamalot at the EVAN Theatre Penrith Panthers in June 2014, CATS at The Lighthouse Theatre, Orchard Hills in November 2014 and back for one last show at EVAN Theatre with The Who’s Tommy in May 2015. We returned to the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub, previously known as the Springwood Civic Centre in late 2015 with The Phantom of the Opera. In 2025, BMMS will be staging a new production of the Broadway smash hit, Come From Away, in May, followed by Legally Blonde in October.

Fade Meadow is an Australian singer/songwriter born and raised in the Blue Mountains on Dharug and Gundungurra Country, who blends the beauty of her surroundings with heartfelt lyrics and haunting melodies. Her lyrical storytelling reflects on personal experiences, creating a connection that resonates deeply with her audience. Drawing influence from artists such as Cat Power, Sharon Van Etten and Mazzy Star, Fade Meadow has crafted an authentic sound that is uniquely her own. Fade Meadow’s debut single ‘Shifting Focus’ and accompanying film clip were released independently in early 2024.

Our Social is a collaboration between us and the party people of the Mountains. We host electronica events at The Baroque nightclub in Katoomba on a six-monthly basis. Our mission is based on the following priorities: • To raise funds for local community-based organisations operating in the Blue Mountains, primarily focused on organisations who assist with care and nurturing to help those most vulnerable in our community. • Providing a party space for members of our community to dance, socialise and collaborate • To promote inclusivity for our guests, including gender, race, age and sexual orientation • To increase and raise the bar for nightlife culture of the Blue Mountains We have been organising community events for 5 years; some profitable, most non-profitable. However, we have been saddened to witness the Blue Mountains community battling against testing times, from environmental catastrophes, domestic issues to financial constraints. We have now decided that all future events held at The Baroque are to raise funds for the unsung heroes of our community, who help those in need in and around the Blue Mountains.

BONNIEDOON are an Australian indie Rock n Soul band who evolved from the community and creativity of the beautiful Blue Mountains on Darug and Gundungurra Country. BONNIEDOON satisfy their audience with powerhouse vocals, soulfully solid guitar rhythms and smooth bass notes all backed up by tastefully delivered drumbeats. Their music tells the stories of life, love, and loss and their connection with people is key to their performance. The band has released two studio EPs and is currently working on their first studio album. They have received much attention and acclaim after taking first place in a string of talent-filled band competitions and as a result have formed a strong audience base that follows their regular shows. BONNIEDOON have recently played the National Folk Festival in Canberra and their hometown Blue Mountains Music Festival where they gave an entertaining, engaging and ‘give it all’ style of performance. They are not to be missed!

Bringing magic into the world. Performing as Mx Robert Frost (Exploratory experiential sound focused on harsh noise and modified hearing through cognitive practice), and as part of Atunement with Panos Couros (exploratory, musique concrète, ambient). Designing and building electronic musical instrument equipment as MxRF. Building creative community and sharing synthesis knowledge as Mid Mountains Modular (Mmm).

Belle Butler is a writer, a musician and project photographer. Her fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals and her novel manuscript, 'River', has received a number of awards. She was most recently awarded the WestWords Emerging Writers Fellowship for 'River' and was paired with mentor Delia Falconer. She is also a writer for the Blue Mountains based Planetary Health Initiative. In the music department, Belle has released two singles: 'I Am She' and 'Quick.' 'I Am She' was her response to personal and witnessed misogyny and gender-based violence and abuse. 'Quick', while less confronting, was no less personal. 'Quick' is about change, and the loss, grief, nostalgia, resistance and acceptance that comes with it. Belle often plays with photography to compliment her written and musical projects. She received a grant from The Seed to create a photo-narrative, 'Intersections,' about Sydney's street corner windscreen washers. Most recently, she created a stop motion video out of leaves to go with her single, 'Quick.'

Antelope are Anne & Dave Crestani (vocals & bass), Ian Neilson (vocals & guitar) and Antony Mann (vocals & guitar). We write lively acoustic pop with poetic and intriguing lyrics. We are all artists – painters, poets, writers, filmmakers, sound engineers, musicians. We can play at your party or your pub, at your gallery opening or festival. Our album THREE WORLDS is out now on CD and Bandcamp!

We are a luthiery workshop in Hazelbrook in the mid Blue Mountains and build a range of finely crafted acoustic, classical and flamenco guitars. We also build a range of electric bass guitars. We run a guitar making school where one can come and make their own guitar whilst gaining woodworking skills and learning about resonance systems and how this applies to guitar making generally. No prior experience is required. Finally we offer instrument repairs and setups.

Fusion Boutique is an independent, multi-award-winning producer, promoter and event management business presenting premier live music in a range of venues. It is driven by owner Charity Mirow's passion for sourcing, presenting, and promoting national and international artists and unique events, also with a focus on local talent. Special attention has been placed on regional development, the reinvigoration of existing venues, as well as the creation of new live entertainment spaces and community events. Taking into consideration the whole experience, an inviting environment is created, the standard of music presented is of the highest level and audiences can be assured of quality every time.

With an international performance and production career, Anthony Albrecht has developed a reputation as an impresario of world-class events characterised by generosity, outreach and connection to issues of social justice, conservation and sustainability. He is co-founder and CEO of the Bowerbird Collective, an organisation devoted to forging stronger connections to the natural world through the arts. With Bowerbird, Anthony has co-produced numerous award-winning multimedia productions, described as "spectacular" by Limelight Magazine, and self-presented and performed in hundreds of events throughout regional Australia. In 2021 and 2022, their albums of endangered bird and frog calls, 'Songs of Disappearance', beat ABBA, Ed Sheeran and Adele on the ARIA charts. A musician known for his “dramatic flair” and “fluent and virtuosic” performances (Seen and Heard International, Sydney Morning Herald), he has frequently appeared with Pinchgut Opera, Van Diemen's Band, the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, the Australian Haydn Ensemble, il Pomo d’Oro and New Vintage Baroque (NYC). Solo engagements include an appearance in the woods of East Sussex as a guest of Sam Lee’s ‘Singing with Nightingales’ project, a recital at the Handel and Hendrix House in London, a performance of Haydn’s Concerto in D at the Newcastle Music Festival, and as concerto soloist with Adelaide Baroque. Committed to musical outreach, Anthony self-produced a solo tour of over 80 concerts in regional Australia called ‘Bach to the Bush’. He is founder and director of three regional festivals, the Lapwing Music Festival in the UK, the Moonbird Festival on King Island, TAS, and the Lyrebird Festival in the Megalong Valley, NSW. Anthony was the first Australian graduate of The Juilliard School’s Historical Performance program, earning a Master of Music on full scholarship in 2014. To develop his arts business and management skills, he earned an MBA in 2022.

WeiZen Ho has been devising and presenting open-disciplinary performances since 1999. Her practice has expanded through music-visual concerts, into solo and participatory works to occupy spaces of uncertainty between performance, ritual and installation. These works employ significant accoutrements and deep imagery to shift and coalesce relationships between body, voice, sound and site. In this process she investigates methods for accessing the memory-body through vocal-bodywork, improvisational techniques and re-imagined psycho-physical states of spirit possession. These are informed by Southeast Asian rituals and animistic practices she has witnessed in her ongoing research processes. WeiZen is increasingly drawn to performance interventions in public places, experiencing and inhabiting time in a more nuanced manner through long-duration works. She spent a month in September 2023 devising and presenting public space performance interventions in New York as part of a 'Live Art Tour 8' with other international artists. In November 2023, she adapted 'Stories from the Body (SFTB) #1', with a performance trajectory from the park, public footpath, pools and Louise Bourgeois’ 34 ft 'Maman' sculpture on Art Gallery Rd, to the new North Wing site. This was part of a 2-day opening programme, 'Has the Day Invaded the Night or Has the Night Invaded the Day' exhibition, Art Gallery NSW.

Veronica is one of the very few flamenco dancers in this country who has an extensive history as a professional flamenco dancer working in Spain alongside many of the most famous dancers, singers and musicians at the time. In Australia Veronica was the flamenco dancer in Graeme Murphy’s Nutcracker in 2000. She created “exotic choreography” for the stage version of Strictly Ballroom for Baz Luhrmann. Veronica also choreographed the dance sequences for Carmen and La Traviata for Opera Australia on several occasions. She conducts weekly flamenco classes in Katoomba from beginners to advanced and also organises classes via Zoom from well-known teachers.
