:Since 1994, Kate has worked as a musician, circus artist, director, producer, project designer and event manager, amongst other professional roles.Kate is currently the creator and owner of Candy Stripe Circus, one of Australia’s most unique Circus Arts and Event Companys. Candy Stripe Circus specialize in creating site specific shows and activations which engage with audiences to delight, mystify and create worlds of wonderment. As the Artistic Director of Candy Stripe Circus, Kate has designed and produced major events at venues across Sydney, Australia and internationally including major shows and activations for Sydney Olympic Arts Festival, Feast Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Peats Ridge Festival, Bellingen Global Carnivale, We Love Sounds Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and more. The Candy Stripe Circus co-developed and held the contract to provide all the artists and entertainment for the exclusive Harbour Hoopla NYE Event in the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney from 2017 creating site specific entertainment for an international audience. Clients include LinkedIn, Facebook, Macquarie Bank and Louis Vuitton. Kate also works freelance for companies such as Circus Oz and Legs on the Wall and was Artistic Director of Circus Monoxide (2015).Kate’s new venture (since 2016) The Marble Circus is a multi-disciplinary international circus arts concept that explores and develops artistic concepts through circus, music and visual art. The Marble Circus uses live performances, conceptual engagements, photography and film to realize works to be shown in galleries, online and other. The aim of The Marble Circus is to create unique works in intriguing places to bring circus arts into the visual arts domain, invigorate new spaces, audiences and participants for circus arts practices.
