biography

Three Muses Creative offers one on one writing and editorial services for established and aspiring writers and creatives, as well as innovative small group creative and writing courses and workshops. Three Muses Creative was established by award winning author, screenwriter and developmental editor Gabiann Marin. Gabiann is best known as a children's author, but has authored twelve traditionally published titles for adults and children, written for Australian television and edited or developed over 200 projects across stage, screen, publication and interactive platforms. She holds a Master's: Writing and Editing and is currently completing her PhD in Writing at the School of Writing and Research WSU. Her determination to help other writers and creatives saw her expand her services through the launch of Three Muses Creative: Workshops and Mentoring in 2021. Three Muses Creative has partnered with Universities, Community Organizations, Creative Festivals, Local Governments and Writing Organizations to offer workshops, mentoring and short courses across Australia, but offers local Blue Mountains residents and organisations the opportunity to tailor any course for team building, skills development or simply social engagement. Currently Three Muses Creative offers a range of bespoke workshops, from Preparing to Publish, to Memoir writing Skills, Myth and Fable writing or Creative Business Fundamentals, which are ready to deliver for community groups, creative organisations, libraries and writing communities. For a full list of our existing courses please check out our website link below. We also offer individual mentoring, editing and story development services for writers and creatives to take their work to the next level, so if that sounds like something you need, please get in touch.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NGURRA

The City of the Blue Mountains is located within the Ngurra (Country) of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples. MTNS MADE recognises that Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Country and that this is of great cultural significance to Aboriginal people, both locally and in the region. For Dharug and Gundungurra People, Ngurra takes in everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape – landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future. Blue Mountains City Council pays respect to Elders past and present while recognising the strength, capacity and resilience of past and present Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Blue Mountains region.
