biography

I’m Daniel Nerinckx-Parker, an emerging product designer based in Glenbrook, and a recent graduate of UNSW’s Bachelor of Industrial Design. My practice spans concept development, CAD modelling, physical prototyping, and visual communication, with a focus on creating products that balance function, form, and manufacturability. I take a hands-on, iterative approach to design, moving between sketching, digital modelling, and model making to explore ideas and refine solutions. I work confidently with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and Adobe Creative Suite, and Keyshot, and I use photography and visual storytelling to present design outcomes clearly. My recent projects range from student work to independent explorations, reflecting my curiosity for materials, processes, and practical problem-solving. Whether I’m designing consumer products, custom installations, or safety-focused equipment, I bring energy, adaptability, and a commitment to thoughtful design that enhances everyday experiences. As I begin my professional career, I’m excited to collaborate with industry, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow my practice within the MTNS MADE creative community.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NGURRA

The City of the Blue Mountains is located within the Ngurra (Country) of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples. MTNS MADE recognises that Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Country and that this is of great cultural significance to Aboriginal people, both locally and in the region. For Dharug and Gundungurra People, Ngurra takes in everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape – landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future. Blue Mountains City Council pays respect to Elders past and present while recognising the strength, capacity and resilience of past and present Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Blue Mountains region.
