biography

I started up Blue House in 2020, to provide affordable professional writing, photographic and graphic design services. Since then I have produced magazines, posters, t-shirts and a variety of other merch for a number of Blue Mountains organisations. I am proficient in the use of Photoshop, In Design and Adobe Illustrator and I also use water colour and gauche paints for illustrations. I have also prepared, edited and published written work, including submissions, speeches and policy & procedural documents. Recently I wrote and published my first novel, 'Jewel in the Dust', which is available for sale through Megalong Books. The feedback I have received from clients about my written work and graphic design work has been enthusiastically positive. So if you need help with quality professional or creative writing, or if you are looking for new and exciting artwork for your website or event please feel free to contact me at Blue House. Unfortunately the Mtns Made site won't currently upload my Portfolio, but you would like to see some of the work I have completed, just go to the Blue House website at https://www.bluehouse.info

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NGURRA

The City of the Blue Mountains is located within the Ngurra (Country) of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples. MTNS MADE recognises that Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Country and that this is of great cultural significance to Aboriginal people, both locally and in the region. For Dharug and Gundungurra People, Ngurra takes in everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape – landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future. Blue Mountains City Council pays respect to Elders past and present while recognising the strength, capacity and resilience of past and present Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Blue Mountains region.
