Tallow Balms

project description

Every balm begins with organic, grass‑fed tallow, thoughtfully sourced from conscious producers and crafted with reverence in a small Blue Mountains kitchen. The tallow is gently rendered to preserve its nutrient-rich integrity—rich in fat-soluble vitamins and fatty acids that mirror your skin’s natural composition. Blending by hand in small batches, each balm is woven with local beeswax, organic butters, and nourishing oils—infused with intention and love. This artisanal process ensures each jar is a luxurious, sensory ritual crafted to protect, hydrate, and restore - honouring both your skin and the earth. 'Soothe' Tallow Balm A calming, moisture-locking balm crafted with moringa oil, local beeswax, soothing botanicals, and calendula infused jojoba and castor oil to support skin repair. This beauty is delicately scented with lavender and frankincense, it gently nourishes dry, sensitive, or reactive skin. Use daily to soften, protect, and restore balance - naturally. 'Elysian' Tallow Balm An elegant, multipurpose ritual balm made with velvety cocoa butter, calendula‑infused castor and jojoba oils, pure local beeswax, and sacred botanicals frankincense and Kunzea. This restorative balm seals in moisture, soothes irritation, and promotes healing with radiant, earth-honouring simplicity. Tallow Lip Balms Crafted for lips that crave softness and protection, these balms blend tallow with shea butter and beeswax to form a protective barrier that locks in moisture and keeps lips supple, smooth, and refreshed. Choose from Sweet Orange or Peppermint - each offering a delightful twist to your daily comfort ritual.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF NGURRA

The City of the Blue Mountains is located within the Ngurra (Country) of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples. MTNS MADE recognises that Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Country and that this is of great cultural significance to Aboriginal people, both locally and in the region. For Dharug and Gundungurra People, Ngurra takes in everything within the physical, cultural and spiritual landscape – landforms, waters, air, trees, rocks, plants, animals, foods, medicines, minerals, stories and special places. It includes cultural practice, kinship, knowledge, songs, stories and art, as well as spiritual beings, and people: past, present and future. Blue Mountains City Council pays respect to Elders past and present while recognising the strength, capacity and resilience of past and present Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Blue Mountains region.
