Ian Brownlee founded Brownlee Printing in October 1984. Auspress Pty Limited, trading as Auspress Marketing was founded two years later and began manufacturing tourist related product for resale in many retail outlets in the Blue Mountains in 1986. The first products were postcards and drink coaster sets supplied to Echo Point Information Centre and Scenic World. Brownlee Printing printed a number of books for Harry Hammon at the Scenic Railway and Skyway. The association with Scenic World continued after Harry retired with Harry's son Phillip Hammon and then later with Harry's grandchildren, Anthea and David Hammon. Auspress Marketing also manufactures and distributes all products for Lorraine Brownlee Designs which was founded by Lorraine and Ian in 2017. Today Lorraine Brownlee Designs has around 500 stockists around Australia. Auspress Marketing also manufactures paper products for other Australian artists. Auspress Publishing, also a trading name of Auspress Pty Limited, has published high quality coffee table books for local artists, John Wilson, Robyn Collier, Joe Penn and Leslie O'Shea.
